Hello there! Let me share to you my fitness journey and how I Started it!. Excited? So am I… π₯°
How or when to START is always the hardest phase when you want to achieve something. Be it starting a business, a project or anything that comes to mind that you want to achieve, it is always at this phase that we tend to get stucked longer most of the times. That’s the same when we want to start wanting to lose those unwanted fats, get that perfect body figure and start to be fit! There are millions of reasons or excuses that pops out our minds the moment we start thinking about exercise! But here’s what, DETERMINATION is what cease those excuses. As what most athletes would say, #NoExcuses if you want to achieve your goal.
My journey began when my daughter transferred schools to Sacred Heart School-ADC on her 7th grade. My life before was full of sedentary lifestyle. Exercise was not part of my daily routine and my eating habits are most of the time on-the-go or fast food considering my busy schedule. It all changed when I met fellow parents in school who are despite their busy schedules, they still had the time to do workout and exercise daily (Seeing them everyday in school every time I send my daughter to school! Very diligent momma’s π). I get so envious just looking at them sweating and working out and because of that, I feel so determined in starting to work-out too since I thought If they can do it, I should be able too. Thats when I decided to to put on those gym clothes and a pair of rubber shoes and started to jog a few rounds in the oval. The feeling was so surreal and I feel so energised after that. And you know what, this only took an hour or so of my busy schedule. (I avoided the traffic too! Awesome! π) I continued what I was doing for the next couple of days and while I was running along the gym, other parents who were also exercising invited me to join them and there I met Coach A (Alan Choachuy – former participant of the TV show Biggest Loser Philippines) who founded the Coach-A Hot Mommy Bootcamp in school where he would help us moms do proper workout routines and also encourages us to join Fun Runs and the like. There I also met my boxing coach – Randy Suico – former World Champion in boxing ( How good is that?). Other moms also started inviting me to join their fun runs and trekking during weekends. And because I started out this fitness journey, my eating habits also changed. And the bonus part, I get to workout and do fun runs with the Hubby! π
See? Nothing beats determination, perseverance and a good support system where moms and parents help out each other reach your goal. And because of the help I got from other moms and dads alike in school, I believe sharing it to you busy moms is just about right, don’t you think?
